Guilford County Point-In-Time Count shows more people facing homelessness

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — How many people in a county are experiencing homelessness? The annual Point-In-Time Count tries to answer that question.

The results in Guilford County are clear, and they show an increase that Shereá Burnett, Executive Director of Partners Ending Homelessness, said they've been seeing for a while.

“We’re in a space today where you can’t look around and not see it in some way, shape or form," she said. "It is present in all parts of this county."

Preliminary numbers from the Guilford County Point-In-Time Count show 641 people experiencing homelessness, up from 452 last year...
