Guilford County found permanent housing for 222 homeless veterans between January 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016!
The January 2015 Point In Time count identified 81 veterans as homeless in Guilford County. Working as part of the Zero_2015 initiative, Partners Ending Homelessness and the Continuum of Care went to work to find housing for all of them. In January 2016, the list was 66. We continue to add to our by name list and, along with our providers, work to get these veterans housed quickly in order to bring veteran homelessness in Guilford County to functional zero*. If you have any questions about our list or other concerns, please contact Partners Ending Homelessness
*Definition of Functional Zero: At any point in time, the number of veterans experiencing sheltered and unsheltered homelessness will be no greater than the current monthly housing placement rate for veterans experiencing homelessness.
