PEH Staffers to Present at 2016 Zarrow Mental Health Symposium
Representing Guilford County Continuum of Care
Debbie Bailey, HMIS System Administrator, and Bennita Curtain, CoC Program and Housing Manager, will be presenting “Everything you wanted to know about creating a By-Name list…but were afraid to ask” at the 2016 Zarrow Mental Health Symposium “Ready for Zero: Innovative + Sustainable Solutions for Housing & Recovery.”
Selected for their experience and expertise working in conjunction with Guilford County’s homeless service organizations in developing a “gold standard” by-name list, they will cover topics including:
- The why and how of accurate, effective by-name lists of veterans experiencing homelessness, individuals who are chronically homeless, and/or others.
- Rationale behind developing the list
- Process to
- Pitfalls encountered and resolved
Bailey and Curtain will be representing the perspective of a Zero:2016 community. They will be joined in the presentation by Katie Burnham Wilkins, Program Coordinator for Health Care for Homeless Veterans at Truman VA Hospital in Columbia MO.
