Point in Time Count
The annual Guilford County Point in Time Count, usually conducted at the end of January, provides a snapshot of sheltered and unsheltered individuals and families experiencing homelessness on any given night, as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The count is a federally mandated census of the total population experiencing homelessness at a single point in time.
Volunteering to help with the count requires a commitment to interview homeless individuals in a manner sensitive to their situation and to participate in a training session. If you would like to volunteer for next January’s count, please contact Partners Ending Homelessness.
